Hello my name is Rob and I am a veteran musician!.. I am based in Northumberland and the Scottish Borders for much of what I do, but obviously music production and backing tracks is a global thing with wav/stems being transferrable through emails. Since the age of 16 I have been a pro-standard musician and I have achieved lots of personal milestones: including making albums, big tours playing alongside name bands writing and recording in different genres and collaborating with some great musicians. All of this experience I can pass onto you to help you get the best results for your band and or solo music project.
How I Approach projects:
I primarily use vintage recording gear for music, mostly digital multitrack recorders, and analog tape-based equipment, which includes cassette and reel-to-reel recording. My video setup consists of digital camcorders, tablets, and phones, among others. To some, this might seem like a budget or even an unconventional way of doing things. However, it's what I am experienced in and know inside out. What's truly important is the finished product.
In terms of music recording, I've always had a preference for the old-school, hands-on approach with knobs and faders. When recording music this way, you also capture the authentic sound of that equipment. Let's face it; the best music was often recorded on older gear. Many of our heroes recorded onto tape or early digital setups.
When it comes to video production, I utilize digital camcorders, and even phone cameras offer great video quality. I have the ear and the eye to create professional-looking and sounding products without the need for expensive gear, which can drive up prices for the client. My years of experience and knowledge in the fields of music and video are invaluable and ensure that my finished products consistently meet a very high standard. You will not be disappointed; in fact, you'll be delighted with what I can achieve for you.
